Welcome to The X Blend. These Terms & Conditions apply to our website, appointment booking services, barbering and grooming services, promotions, and related services provided by The X Blend in Ontario, Canada.
By booking an appointment, purchasing a service, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms are subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove, restrict, or waive any legal right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
1. Appointments & Bookings
Appointments may be booked through our website, booking platform, telephone, social media, or other booking channels made available by The X Blend.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information when booking, including their name, contact information, selected service, barber, date, and appointment time.
An appointment is considered confirmed when confirmation has been provided through our booking system or by an authorized representative of The X Blend.
Appointment times are scheduled estimates. Occasionally, a service may begin earlier or later than the scheduled time because of the length of a previous service, unexpected circumstances, operational requirements, or other reasonable causes.
2. Cancellation & Refunds
We understand that plans can change.
Customers who have prepaid for an appointment may cancel and receive a full refund when they provide at least 2 hours’ notice before the scheduled appointment time.
Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the appointment, as well as missed appointments, may result in the prepaid amount being retained, where permitted by applicable law.
Refunds, when applicable, will normally be returned to the original payment method. Processing times may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
Nothing in this cancellation policy limits any cancellation, refund, or other rights that a customer may have under applicable law.
3. Late Cancellations & No-Shows
If a customer does not attend an appointment and does not provide the required cancellation notice, the appointment may be classified as a no-show.
For prepaid appointments, the payment may be retained where permitted by law.
Repeated no-shows or repeated late cancellations may result in future appointments requiring prepayment or additional reasonable booking conditions.
4. Arriving Early or Late
Customers are encouraged to arrive approximately 10 minutes before their appointment.
Appointments may occasionally begin approximately 10–15 minutes earlier or later than the scheduled appointment time.
If you are running late, please contact The X Blend as soon as possible.
If a customer arrives late and the barber cannot reasonably complete the service without delaying other customers, The X Blend may shorten, reschedule, or cancel the appointment.
A customer who arrives too late to be accommodated may be required to wait for the next available appointment or walk-in opportunity.
Late arrival does not automatically extend the scheduled appointment.
5. Customer Requests & Haircut Expectations
Customers are responsible for communicating their desired haircut, hairstyle, beard style, length, design, and other preferences as clearly as reasonably possible.
Our barbers may provide professional recommendations based on hair type, face shape, hair condition, current trends, and the customer’s requested look.
Reference photographs may be provided by customers. However, an identical result cannot always be guaranteed because every person’s hair texture, density, growth pattern, length, and condition are different.
Customers are encouraged to communicate any concerns or requested changes to the barber during the service whenever reasonably possible.
6. Haircut Corrections & Customer Satisfaction
Customer satisfaction is important to us.
If you believe that your haircut or grooming service was not completed according to the service reasonably requested, please contact The X Blend as soon as possible and explain the concern.
Where appropriate, The X Blend may provide a complimentary correction or replacement service.
A complimentary correction is intended to address a genuine service issue and does not automatically apply where a customer simply changes their mind about a style that was completed substantially as requested.
Any complimentary correction is subject to barber availability and the nature of the original service.
Nothing in this section limits any legal rights or remedies available to a customer.
7. Blade, Razor & Shaving Services
Some services may involve razors, blades, straight razors, trimmers, clippers, or other sharp grooming equipment.
Customers requesting close shaving, razor line-ups, blade work, or similar services acknowledge that these services involve ordinary risks, which may include temporary redness, irritation, razor burn, or minor accidental cuts.
Customers should inform their barber before the service if they have sensitive skin, allergies, skin conditions, recent injuries, scars, open wounds, or other circumstances that may affect the safety or suitability of the service.
If a customer does not wish to receive blade or razor work, the customer should inform the barber before the service begins.
The X Blend will take reasonable precautions and follow applicable health, hygiene, sanitation, and safety requirements.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for negligence, misconduct, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
8. Waxing & Skin-Contact Services
Certain services may involve waxing or other products applied directly to the skin.
Customers should inform staff before the service of any known allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, recent skin treatments, medications, injuries, or previous reactions that may be relevant.
Customers understand that waxing and similar services can involve ordinary risks such as temporary redness, irritation, sensitivity, or minor skin reactions.
The X Blend will take reasonable precautions and use professional products in accordance with applicable instructions.
Where a customer has an undisclosed allergy, sensitivity, medical condition, or other circumstance that contributes to a reaction, The X Blend will not be responsible to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Hair & Grooming Products
The X Blend may use or sell professional third-party grooming products, including hair products, beard products, shaving products, waxes, creams, gels, oils, sprays, and similar products.
Products are used according to their intended purpose and applicable manufacturer instructions.
Customers should notify staff of any known allergies or sensitivities before a product is applied.
The X Blend does not manufacture third-party products unless expressly stated otherwise.
Where a reaction or issue is caused by a product defect or manufacturing issue, customers may have rights or remedies against the applicable manufacturer or other responsible party. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any such legal rights.
10. Health, Hygiene & Safety
The X Blend operates as a personal service setting and follows applicable Ontario requirements relating to barbering, hairdressing, hygiene, sanitation, cleaning, disinfection, equipment, and infection prevention.
Customers must follow reasonable health and safety instructions provided by staff.
Customers should not request or participate in a service when they have an open wound, contagious condition, active skin infection, or other condition that could reasonably create a health or safety concern for themselves, staff, or other customers.
Where reasonably necessary for health, safety, sanitation, or legal reasons, The X Blend may decline, postpone, modify, or discontinue a service.
11. Children & Minors
Parents or legal guardians are responsible for children attending the shop.
Parents or guardians should inform the barber of any relevant allergies, sensitivities, behavioural considerations, or special requirements before the service.
For certain services involving minors, The X Blend may require a parent or legal guardian to remain present.
12. Respectful Behaviour
The X Blend is committed to providing a professional, welcoming, and respectful environment.
Customers, employees, barbers, and visitors are expected to treat one another with respect.
Threatening, violent, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or seriously disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Where reasonably necessary for safety or the proper operation of the business, The X Blend may refuse or discontinue a service, subject to applicable law.
13. Human Rights & Non-Discrimination
The X Blend provides services in accordance with applicable Ontario human-rights legislation.
We do not discriminate against customers on prohibited grounds under applicable law.
Customers requiring reasonable accommodation are encouraged to contact us before their appointment so that we can discuss available arrangements.
14. Accessibility

Customers may use assistive devices and may be accompanied by support persons or service animals where required by applicable law.

Customers may also provide accessibility feedback directly to The X Blend.
The X Blend will comply with applicable requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related accessibility standards.
15. Photos, Videos & Social Media
The X Blend may create photographs or videos of haircuts, transformations, hairstyles, shop activities, or promotional content.
Where an identifiable customer’s image is intended for promotional or marketing use, appropriate consent will be obtained where required.
Customers who do not wish to appear in photographs or videos should inform staff before filming begins.
For minors, appropriate parent or guardian consent will be obtained where required.
16. Payments
Customers must pay the applicable price for services received using an accepted payment method.
Applicable taxes will be charged as required by law.
Prices, services, promotions, and availability may change from time to time. The price applicable to a confirmed booking will be communicated through the applicable booking or payment process.
Tips and gratuities are voluntary unless expressly stated otherwise.
17. Promotions, Discounts & Special Offers
Promotions, discounts, contests, giveaways, and special offers may have additional terms and eligibility requirements.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined with other offers.
The X Blend may modify, suspend, or end a promotion where permitted by law.
Promotional terms will not override any mandatory consumer, human-rights, accessibility, or other statutory rights.
18. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep our website information accurate, including prices, services, barber profiles, photographs, operating hours, availability, promotions, and descriptions.
However, information may occasionally contain errors or become outdated.
The X Blend reserves the right to correct errors and update website information.
If an obvious pricing, booking, or technical error occurs, we may correct the error and, where reasonably possible, notify an affected customer.
19. Booking Platform & Third-Party Services
Our website may use third-party services for appointment booking, payment processing, website hosting, analytics, communications, or other business functions.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
The X Blend is not responsible for an interruption or failure caused solely by a third-party system, payment processor, telecommunications provider, internet provider, or other service outside our reasonable control.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The X Blend will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or unforeseeable losses arising from the use of our website or services.
However, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict rights available to customers under applicable consumer-protection, human-rights, accessibility, privacy, health and safety, or other legislation.
25. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
The X Blend will not be responsible for delays, cancellations, or inability to provide a service caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control.

Where reasonably possible, affected customers will be contacted and offered appropriate rescheduling or other available options.
26. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, restrict, or eliminate any consumer rights or remedies that apply under Ontario or Canadian law.
Where a mandatory law provides a customer with rights or remedies that conflict with these Terms, the applicable law will prevail.
Ontario consumer-protection legislation contains protections that cannot simply be waived through contractual wording.
